THE STORY OF OUR NAME
Psalm 1 says that those who follow God are like trees planted by streams of living water.  They bear fruit in season, their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.  We have 7 Core Values that represent different aspects of a tree.  These values guide us on our journey through life.  We have chosen 7 images that help to capture the heart of these values. Please read on to discover what those values are and how they influence us.

TODAY IS A NEW DAY: SEASONS OF A TREE ~ GRACE
Dawn marks the start of a new day.  In the same way, God gives us grace every day.  Whatever we have done, He forgives.  Whatever we owe, He pays.  Whatever our yesterday looked like, today is a new day!  Lamentations 3:22-23

PEOPLE ARE PRIMARY: SHADE OF A TREE ~ LOVE
We treasure and protect what is most important.  God loves people more than anything else.  We reflect His heart when we make people our priority.  Luke 12:22-34

WE’RE BETTER TOGETHER: TRUNK OF A TREE ~ UNITY
Clown fish and anemones have a mutually beneficial relationship. The anemone offers protection and the fish keep the anemone clean from bacteria.  God created us with a special purpose. When we each do our part, all benefit. I need you and you need me.  We’re better together.   Ephesians 4:16

ANYTHING’S POSSIBLE: ROOTS OF A TREE ~ FAITH
It’s easier for a camel to fit through a needle than for us to be right with God.  We don’t have what it takes.  But God does.  And if God can do that, then there is nothing He can’t do.  With God, anything’s possible!   Mark 10:17-27

WE ARE THE CHURCH: BRANCHES OF A TREE ~ RESPONSIBILITY
A church is not a building.  It’s not a program.  It’s not a tradition.  A church is people.  We are the church.                       1 Corinthians 12:27

WHAT YOU DO MATTERS: FRUIT OF A TREE ~ AUTHENTICITY
Apple trees produce apples.  Orange trees, oranges.  Trees can’t fake it.  They produce what they are.  We are the same.  Our actions reveal who we are.  What we do matters.   Matthew 7:15-20

THE BEST IS YET TO COME: GROWTH OF A TREE ~ HOPE
Like the parade before a circus, this life is just a taste of what’s to come.  Jesus promised that heaven is real.  Death is not the end. We live each day with the conviction that the best is yet to come!   1 John 4:9-11
